Women Startup Challenge Europe HealthTech
The Women Startup Challenge is on a mission to close the funding gap and shakeup a culture and economy that’s made it exceedingly difficult for women to launch startups and raise capital. We provide funding, mentoring, and other resources for women who are creating the most innovative tech companies to help scale their products.
Enabling data access in accountancy, insurance and legal services: Innovation Lab
Individuals can apply to join a workshop developing project proposals to enable increased access to data within the accountancy, insurance and legal sectors.
Funding boost for community businesses
The Community Shares Booster programme is open to applications to support local groups in England to set up or grow a community business.
International Trade Bursary
An international trade bursary is open to Torbay based SMEs in across any industry sector looking to enter new country export markets. Companies can be new or existing exporters, but they must be looking at new markets.
Reforms to food labelling requirements
The Environment Secretary Michael Gove has announced new legislation to improve food safety. Under the new rules, all food businesses will be required to provide a full list of ingredients on pre-packaged food, including food that is prepared on the premises in which it is sold. The new rules are expected to come into force by summer 2021 and Defra will publish guidance to help food businesses prepare for the changes. However, trade body UKHospitality has warned that the new rules could be difficult for smaller food businesses to comply with and lead to less choice for consumers.
South Devon Jobs Fair back for Sept 2019
After the success of March’s Jobs Fair which saw over 700 candidates have the chance to speak to 60 employers, we are delighted to announce the FREE event will once again be returning to the Riviera International Conference Centre on Friday 27th September.

Inward investment brings 4,800 new jobs a month to the UK
Over 57,000 new jobs were created as a result of inward investment from foreign direct investment projects in 2018/19.
